Crystalyx Breed-up Max—Steel 250# barrel—This is another product in the breed-up line. If you were going to have one mineral barrel this would be the one I would choose. There is enough copper in this product for our area. It has the organic/chelated trace minerals to help beef cows rebred in a timely manner. Consumption should be 2 to 8 oz. per head per day with the ideal rate of 4 oz. per head per day. 3% crude fat, 2% crude fiber, 6 to 7 % calcium, 3.5% magnesium, 1.7% potassium, 20 ppm cobalt, 2,000 ppm copper, 100 ppm iodine, 8,000 ppm manganese, 13.2 selenium, 6,000 ppm zinc, 300,000 iu/lb. vitamin A, 30,000 iu/lb. vitamin D-3, 1000 iu/lb. vitamin E.

Crystalyx Crystal-phos—Steel 250 #barrels—This product is a very good product for a mineral source for you cattle. It is a weather proof- rain won’t make it hard to where the cattle won’t eat it. The wind won’t blow it away. If you forget to put out mineral for a week or two the cattle won’t have it gone the next day. Cost per head per day is close to loose mineral. It has organic/chelated trace minerals in also. Cattle should consume 4 oz. per head per day.  3% crude fat, 2% crude fiber, 7 to 8% calcium, 8% phosphorus, 2.5% magnesium, 2% potassium, 10 ppm cobalt, 1,000 ppm copper, 50 ppm iodine, 4,000 ppm manganese, 13.2 ppm selenium, 3,000 ppm zinc, 200,000 iu/lb. vitamin A, 20,000 iu/lb. vitamin D-3, 200 iu/lb. vitamin E.

Dried Distillers Grain (DDG) – 23% protein –This is a by-product of the ethanol industry—We get this product from Hubbard Feeds, It has 15% Soybean Hulls mixed in for flow ability for our purposes. We had trouble with straight DDG getting hung up in our bins in the feed mill and it was either quit handling DDG or do the 15% Soybean hull mix. This was due to safety concerns for our workers entering bins to work product down!

Soybean meal—45.5% crude protein, 0.5% crude fat, 13% fiber. This product is used as a protein source for rations.

Cotton Seed Hull pellets—4% crude protein, 1% crude fat, 45% fiber. This product is used in rations as a fiber source. If you have used our ration 1 to get your calves weaned and bunk broke, we use the cotton seed hull pellets in that ration to raise the fiber level to keep the calves from over eating the ration.

Alfalfa Dehydrated pellets—17% crude protein, 1.5% crude fat, 33% fiber. This product is used in rations as protein and fiber source.

Beet Pulp Shreds—comes in a 40# bag; this product is used as a digestible fiber in rations. It is also used in show cattle to give them a fuller look. 6% crude protein, 0.3% fate, 22% fiber.

Molasses liquid-- 65-5 mill blend, 3% protein, 0.6% calcium, 0.2% phosphorus, 0.2% crude fiber, 5% fat, 32% moisture, sugars (invert) 33%. This product is used for flavor to entice calves to the bunk to eat and for limited dust control.

Soybean Oil – liquid fat—crude fat 99%, This product is used for increased fat for energy in rations and for limited dust control.

Vitamin A, D, E& K—This product is used to supplement rations for additional vitamin content. 2,000,000 IU/lb. vitamin A, 400,000 IU/lb. vitamin D, 1,000 IU/lb. vitamin E, 132 IU/lb. menadione.

Availa 4—A Zinpro product, contains 51,500 ppm Zinc, 28,600 ppm manganese, 18,000 ppm copper, 1,800 ppm cobalt. Feeding rate is 7.0 grams per head per day.

Hubbard’s 20% DDG Range Cubes – This product is based on Dried Distillers Grain. There are some additives in order to make a solid cube. 20% protein, 2.5% fat and 14% fiber. This cube is the cheaper of the two cubes that we sell but it is also lower in protein. With the range cube feeders that are available cubes are an economical way to provide protein to cattle on grass or stalk pastures.

Hubbard’s 32% Western Range Cubes – This product is a good choice for extra protein need while cattle on still on grass or stalks. You can control how much the cattle get for protein on a daily basis or every other day if the cows will stay where they belong the day you don’t feed. 32% crude protein, 9% NPN,

Hubbard’s Calf Krunch 18% D22.7—This is a high protein, texturized calf starter. Begin feeding as soon as four days of age, avoid feeding hay until weaning. Feed at a rate of 1 pound pre 100 pounds of body weight. Wean calves at 4 to 6 weeks of age when eating 2.0 pounds of Calf Krunch calf starter feed per head per day for two consecutive days. Continue to feed and gradually transition calves to a grower ration during the next 2 to 4 weeks. 18% crude protein, 3% crude fat, 8% crude fiber, 10% ADF, 0.7 to 1.2% calcium, 0.6% phosphorus, 0.2 to 0.7% salt, 10,000 IU/lb. Vitamin A, 2,500 IU/lb. Vitamin D, 75 IU/lb. Vitamin E.

Hubbard’s Classicalf 16% R64 – A creep feed pellet that is a high protein and a high fiber feed with Rumensin to help prevent coccidiosis and to help utilize the nutrients in their diet. Calves will consume 0.75% to 1.5% of their body weight daily. 64 grams per ton of monensin, 16% crude protein, 2% crude fat, 20% crude fiber, 0.7 to 1.2% calcium, 0.6% phosphorus, 0.3 to 0.8% salt, 1% potassium, 6,000 IU/lb. Vitamin A, 600 IU/lb. Vitamin D, 10 IU/lb. Vitamin E. Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulation that have monensin in it. Monensin can be fatal to horses and other equines.

Hubbard’s Express Grower 40:0 – A pelleted feed that is 40% protein without NPN. It is designed for rations for younger calves that have not developed their rumen enough to be able to utilize NPN. Express grower products are designed for a normal feeding rate of 1.25# per head per day. 40% crude protein, 0% NPN, 1% crude fat, 14% crude fiber, 5.5 to 6.5% calcium, 3.5 to 4.5% salt, 0.75% potassium, 30,000 IU/lb. vitamin A, 3,000 IU/lb. vitamin D, 50 IU/lb. vitamin E.

Hubbard’s Express Grower 40:22 – A pelleted feed that is 40% protein with 22% of the protein coming from NPN. This product is used in growing rations for cattle. Express grower products are designed for a normal feeding rate of 1.25# per head per day.  40% crude protein, 22% NPN, 1% crude fat, 16% crude fiber, 5.5 to 6.5% calcium, 3.5 to 4.5% salt, 0.75% potassium, 30,000 IU/lb. vitamin A, 3,000 IU/lb. vitamin D, 50 IU/lb. vitamin E.

Purina’s Accuration—This is a product that we carry from Purina Feeds. When mixed with grain it can be an alternative to creep feed. Accuration acts as a limiter and when mixed at an 80/20 should hold calves to 1 pound per hundred pounds of body weight. As the calves get use to the taste they will eat more than that and the ratio has to be change to keep up with consumption. It is better to stay ahead of the calves than trying to play catch up with them! 33% crude protein not more than 20% NPN, 9% crude fat, 5% fiber, 1.5 to 2% calcium, 1% phosphorus, 4.5 to 5.4% salt, 0.3% potassium, 12,000 IU/lb. vitamin A.

CPC Pride of the Barnyard—This is a 12% crude protein, 2% crude fat, 12% crude fiber feed that is suitable for cattle and horses. Ingredients are rolled corn, oats, alfalfa pellets, soybean meal, and molasses. This product is made in our feed mills here in Smith Center and at Cedar.

Hubbard’s Stress guard Concentrate—A 30% protein pellet designed to ease the stress of weaning, transportation, and transfer to feedlots by maximizing dry matter intake and providing critical nutrients so cattle reach full feed quickly, safely and profitably. Feed 1.25 pounds per head per day with grain and hay. 30% crude protein, 1.5% crude fat, 12% crude fiber,3.5 to 4.5 calcium, 0.7% phosphorus, 3.5 to 4.5% salt, 3% potassium, 80,000 IU/lb. vitamin A, 8,000 IU/lb. vitamin D, 320 IU/lb. vitamin E, 120 mg/lb. thiamine.

Hubbard’s Express Co-product R-1500—This product is used for improved feed efficiency in cattle and to help prevent coccidiosis. 1500 grams per ton of monensin, 26.1 to 31.1% calcium, 8.1 to 9.7% salt, .5% magnesium, 2% potassium, 640 ppm copper, 4,000 ppm zinc, 90,000 IU/lb. vitamin A, 9,000 IU/lb. vitamin D-3, 100 IU/lb. vitamin E, 200 mg/lb. thiamine. Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulation that have monensin in it. Monensin can be fatal to horses and other equines.

OptiCare Beef Pack R-1200—This is a pelleted feed contains 1200 grams per ton of Monensin.  Feed continuously to provide each beef animal with not least 50 mg but no more than 360 mg of monensin per head daily.  Monensin is an ionophore that is used to help ruminants utilize nutrients of roughage. At the correct feeding rate monensin will help prevent coccidiosis in cattle. Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulation that have monensin in it. Monensin can be fatal to horses and other equines.

Opticare Beef Pack M1.0—This feed is to be fed at the rate of 0.5 pound per head per day to provide each beef heifer with 0.50 mg of Melengestrol Acetate (MGA) per head daily. Beef Pack M1.0 must be top dressed on grain or roughage or mixed with a complete ration. 0.00022% Melengestrol acetate, 5% crude protein, 0.5% crude fat, 18% crude fiber, 5.4 to 6.4% calcium. Caution: Heifers intended for reproduction:  Do not exceed 24 days of feeding.

Corid (amprolium) 1.25% crumbles—This medicated feed should be fed as a top-dress on calf rations to aid in the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis. 5,675 mg/lb. amprolium, 2.5% crude protein, 2% crude fat, 18% crude fiber. Withdraw 24 hours prior to slaughter!

CTC 10G crumbles—CTC (chlortetracycline) is product has 10 grams of Chlortetracycline per pound.  Warning: Must be withdrawn 24 to 48 hours before slaughter! Treatment is 1 gram per 100 pounds of body weight for 5 days then ½  gram per 100 pounds of body for another 5 days.

CTC 50— CTC (chlortetracycline) This product contains 50 grams of Chlortetracycline per pound. Warning: Must be withdrawn 24 to 48 hours before slaughter! Treatment is 1 gram per 100 pounds of body weight for 5 days then ½  gram per 100 pounds of body for another 5 days.

Sweetlix Bloat Guard blocks – A 33.4# block that contains 6.6% poloxalic, 4% phosphorus, 0.05 fat, 12.5% fiber, 19.5 to 23% salt, 1.8% potassium, 43 ppm iodine, 13 ppm selenium. This product protects against frothy bloat in legume and wheat pastures when used as directed.  To be fed at the rate of 8.0 oz. of block per 100 lb. of body weight per day (0.5 lb. for a 1000 lb. animal). Omit all salt from feed. Do not feed free choice sources of salt or mineral containing salt in any form.

Hubbard’s Opti-prime Colostrum Replacer—This product is for calves that don’t have a mother to give them colostrum. It is best if the calf colostrum in the first 4 hours of life. The calf’s stomach will only accept the goodies from the colostrum for a few hours after birth. This product is actual colostrum that has been dried and fortified for this use. This product can be kept in the freezer to enable it to be kept longer. In fact that is where our stock is kept during the off season!

Hubbard’s Opticalf Paste—This product comes in a one dose tube. It is something that you can carry with you when you are checking the cows during calving season. If you find a calve that is starting to come down with scours or can use a pick me up and you don’t want to take it to the barn to doctor it or for a bottle squeeze the contents of the tube on the back of the tongue. The contents of the tube will give the calf some goodies to help fight early scours and as a pick me up and the calf working to get it off of the tongue will help get it going also.

Hubbard’s Thrive—This is a blend of ingredients as a source of electrolytes, nutrients and energy in young calves, foals and lambs. This product contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. This is the second year that we have had this product and we have been told by producers that have used it that it works!

Hubbard’s Calf Beginner 20-20 AM NT1600- This is a milk replacer for baby calves that is 20% protein and 20% fat to get the calf off to a good start. After 50 pounds of milk replacer the calf should be ready to wean if you have started the calf at 4 days of age on the Calf Krunch 18% D22.7 that is listed above. This product is medicated and comes in either 25 or 50 pound bags.

 

 All Stockmaster minerals for cattle have been ordered in with the higher levels of copper needed for the majority of our trade area. When you see CU in the description of the mineral you can be sure it has the higher level of copper in it!

 

Stockmaster 12-12-12 Breeder CU – This mineral is designed for cows 60 days before calving until they are pregnant again. It contains organic trace minerals and Vitamin E along with the levels of minerals and vitamins need during the last 60 days before calving until the cows are bred again. 

 

Stockmaster Sweet Mag 14 CU—This mineral has higher levels of magnesium that can help cattle avoid grass tetany in the spring when the grass is green and lush. It should be fed 10 days before turning the cows out to grass and continue feeding it until the grass loses it lushness. (When the cattle manure is not loose and runny) This mineral can also be used in the winter as it is lower in phosphorus and the cattle don’t need as much. It is also cheaper that the Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU.

 

Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU—This mineral is higher in phosphorus and is for cattle during lactation and when low phosphorus forages are being fed. This is a good all-around mineral. If you only want one mineral this is the one!

 

Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU C3500 The Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU mineral with 3500 grams of Chlortetracycline (CTC) per ton.  When fed at the recommended 4 ounce per head per day rate you are giving the cattle 350mg of CTC which can help dry up watery eyes, clean up minor infections due do calving and may help in preventing foot rot.

 

Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU BioMos-- The Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU with BioMos added to it. BioMos fed 30 to 45 days before calving and continued 60 days after calving will decrease the chance of having a scour outbreak in you calves. BioMos works to clean the cow’s digestive tract to eliminate the bugs that cause scours. This will reduce the possibility of the calves getting scours.

 

Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU Altosid/CTC2800—The Stockmaster Sweet Phos 12 CU with Altosid to greatly reduce horn flies pestering your cows during fly season. Begin feeding before flies are active in the spring and continue until after frost to reduce fly pressure on the cattle during the summer and next spring.

CPC 16% Hog Grower—This is the most popular pig feed that we make. We have had enough calls for it that we now have it labeled for sale by the bag. Extruded Soybean Meal—36% crude protein, 18% crude fat, 13% crude fiber. This can be used in some of Fertrell’s organic poultry rations. It can be used in other rations also required protein and a fat source.

 

Fish Meal—60% crude protein, 6% crude fat, 2% crude fiber, 2.9% phosphorus,  4.5 to 5.4 calcium.  This product can be used in some of Fertrell’s organic poultry rations. This product can also be used in other rations needing high protein source.

 

Oyster shell—50 pound bag. This product is used as a calcium source for poultry.
